Responsible Use

Responsible Use of MetriqOS

MetriqOS exists to help NGOs and development organisations plan, deliver, and report their work with integrity. Everyone who uses the platform shares that responsibility.

In effect since: 1 June 2026

1. Why This Page Exists

MetriqOS is built for a sector that depends on trust - between NGOs and the communities they serve, and between NGOs and the donors who fund them. Donors use MetriqOS to see real progress, in real time, often through direct access to a project's own data. That only works if the organisation behind it is exactly who it says it is: a legally registered, legitimately operating entity, in good standing with the regulator of the country where it is registered.

Our principle: the platform is a tool for transparency and accountability. We expect everyone who uses it to hold themselves to the same standard.

2. What We Expect From Every Organisation

By using MetriqOS, your organisation confirms that it:

This applies equally wherever an organisation is registered - MetriqOS is used by organisations across multiple countries, and this expectation does not change by jurisdiction.

3. Uses That Are Not Permitted

The following are not permitted on MetriqOS, and may result in suspension or termination of an account:

4. Working With Regulators

We engage directly with national NGO and charity regulators where it helps protect the integrity of the sector. Where required by law, or under a formal arrangement with a national regulator, we may share limited organisational information - such as an organisation's legal name, registration number, and registration status - to help donors and regulators confirm that an organisation using MetriqOS remains validly registered.

We do not, and will not, share beneficiary data, financial data, or any other project data with a regulator as part of this - only the minimum information needed to confirm an organisation's registration status.

5. Reporting a Concern

If you believe an organisation using MetriqOS is misrepresenting its legal or registration status, or misusing the platform in a way that breaches this page, tell us at info@metriqos.net. We review every report.

6. Our Own Role

MetriqOS is a platform provider, not a regulator. We are not able to independently verify every organisation's legal status in every country, and this page does not make us responsible for an organisation's compliance - that responsibility sits with the organisation itself, under the law of its own country. Where we can verify something directly with a regulator, we will. Where we cannot, this page, and the declaration every organisation makes when it registers, is how we hold organisations to account.

MetriqOS reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for a breach of this page, independently of, and in addition to, any action a relevant regulator may take.
